My common goldfish has big white spots on the side of his body. What is this?

The rest of his tank is covered with a white "pulpy" or "moldy" substance. I am treating him currently for fungal infection. Is this right? He is also extremely lethargic, except for when I feed him and then he only eats like maybe one or two flakes. I also just recently moved him into a new aquarium so I want to make sure this does not have anything to do with it. Thanks for your help.

Ok i need a digital camers to use for when i go to indoor events at the arenas in my town. It has to be non SLR, cause SLRs are not allowed in. Its not too dark inside( a little, not dark dark), except during some entrances(wrestling events). Is this a proper treatment for Enlarged Aorta?

I was recently diagnosed with an Enlarged Aorta. MY BMW x5 2006 is having problems turning over?

Would you consider my Zebra Danios to active for certain fish?

I have a 20 gallon aquarium at the moment with 3 zebra danios and 2 longfin danios. I have read repeatedly throughout the internet that zebra danios are to active for some fish. But mine don't seem like the constant dart-y swimmers some make them out to be. They swim at a moderate pace and sometimes get speedy when playing with each other. They have also been in a tank with cory cats before, and they payed the cory cats no mind. So, I was wondering, could my danios coexist with some timid and/or slower moving fish? How do I prevent bruises on my troweling hand (archaeology)?

I've been working an archaeological dig that has a high clay content, thus the difficulty in troweling. How can I prevent my hand from becoming sore and bruised? I've tried switching hands, using my other hand for stabilization, etc. The bruises and joint pain are extreme. Any thoughts? I've switched to screening for artifacts, but the buckets are a tad heavy for me. I guess my main question is how long it takes to get used to this sort of activity.

Post shoulder surgery issues! HELP!?

I had shoulder stabilization surgery on March 5th, 2010. I had physical therapy for about 3 months after that. I started swimming competitively on my varsity high school team about 5 and a half months after getting surgery that required 4 sutures in the front of my shoulder to stop my shoulder from slipping out of the ...socker (it fe...ll out RIGHTwhen I went under) BIG MISTAKE! Throughour the season I had pain all the time. The season ended mid November and I haven't swam competitively since. I went to the doctore in February and I have biceps tendonitis and got a cortisone injection into the tendon. I have been getting physical therapy since the second week in March and it sucks! I have a pinched nerve in the back of my neck now that hurts and theres pain radiating down to my lower shoulder blade and my fingers feel weird. Have any of you guys gone through this?! How'd you deal with it???

Lens suggestions for nikon d3100 please?

I bought the nikon d3100 and it came with the 18-55mm lens. I decided to go up to the 55-200mm lens and the pictures that i have taken with this lens is just amazing. supper clean and easy to focus. I keep switching from indoor use with the 18-55mm to the 55-200mm out door lens but the one that stays on my cam 90% of the time is this lens. well worth the money i paid for it but i recommend ever one to get the 18-200mm lens at one time in there life not only is it 4x better but you would never have to take it off unless you want to put on the 35mm lens or a lens that goes up to 300mm and more.

IMO you train on leash all commands and then you train off leash in an enclosed area. So a yard that is fenced would be a perfect place to start doing the commands off leash. You don't wan a dog park as its far too much room. Start small till the dog is reliable.

I've competed at hunter jumper for years and always bought Dover jackets... I had a friend who is new to showing and she asked me if she could use a black suit jacket for shows. It almost if not identical to my show jacket if darted in on the sides. I never thought of a suit jacket because I took the plunge and bought a hunter/jumper jacket for showing. Hi, I asked a question on yahoo answers before about why my used to be best guy friend has been acting weird around me. His eyes dart everywhere when I look at him and he has changed his appearance by changing his hair and wearing lynx. There is this girl that he is friends with and she flirts with him a lot. Has anyone ever had the Dwyer Procedure and the Strayer Procedure (Gastroc. Recession) at the same time?

My doctor wants me to have the heel realignment surgery and the gastroc. recession. Also, the doctors want to do a lateral ankle stabilization procedure at the same time. My left foot first...then a 3 month recovery, then my right foot, followed by another 3 month recovery. Has anyone gone through these types of surgeries before? What should I expect? hi there, if you want my honest advice, it's not bad but its not great either. It's a bit muddled and rushed and a bit of a jumble to read, too much is happening at once. I got a little confused, you need to slow down first of all. Long nosed leopard lizard breeding?

I have a male/female pair of long nosed leopard lizards that I'm pretty sure have just reached sexual maturity. The male has become quite aggressive to the point where I had to remove a cage-mate for safety. I noticed that he is also excreting a waxy substance from his femoral pores as well. The female hasn't changed her coloring yet but if she should I'm wondering where they lay their eggs. I do not want her to get egg bound, so I'm wondering if I should put a breeder box in with a different bedding, etc. All the sites i have visited talk about how many and the frequency of eggs but they have not mentioned where they are laid. Also, if you happen to know, is it better to remove the eggs for artificial incubation because they are known to eat smaller lizards given the opportunity? and if so what temperature is best for incubation.

Best DSLR for indoors/low light/outdoors/landscape?

My D5000 is my first camera and I got the kit lens and a telephoto lens with it for around $650. I think it's a great starting camera unless your going to make a living with it. The lenses are very sharp for outdoors. I did have problems with the kit lenses indoors though and bought a 50mm for $130 and problem solved.

yeah so basically a few weeks ago we moved into a condo. We do have neighbors on the top, and bottom floor. I don't think we have cracks or holes in the walls of our condos, but we do have air vents. so a few days later I wake up, my dad also wakes up, i walk into the kitchen, and all of a sudden I see this big, flat rounded bug dart from behind our stove, and run into the sink, and then it just stays there. So my dad sees the cockroach, and kills it then throws it out. Then a week later I see another one in the bathroom, just sitting their not moving. The next day I look in the bathroom, and it's gone. So another week later I'm watching TV, and I see another one darting behind the TV going to the kitchen. Now this one was a small one. When it went in the kitchen it ran into a crevice, and I never saw it again. But after that I never saw another one again. I have been Driving for almost 47 years of my life and hold a class A drivers license and In the past ten years in my state they have added bicycle lanes to our streets and here of late it seems that people who ride bikes or walk along the highway have no concern for their safety when crossing the street. Just the other day a man walked out in front of four lanes of traffic I was in the far left lane of this one way street and other large cars were to the right of me. All of a sudden the car just in front of me doing 45 miles per hour (Speed Limit is 50 mph) slammed on his brakes then in the next lane the next car did the same thing and finally I had to do the same as a idiot walked threw traffic at no cross walk not looking up or around to see if traffic was coming or not. If I had not slammed on the brakes I would of hit him as it were I was just a few inches from him as he walked by all the cars were honking their horns at this guy and scared the crap out of me. He did not look up even at me even as close as I came to hitting him. Now I don't understand this type of behavior he was a young kid in his teens with a hood on his head. The next thing Is people walking into the street not paying attention to traffic lights or obeying traffic signs. I was driving down the street when a kid was going the wrong way with parked cars on the side of the road blocking my view of this bicyclist who came flying into my lane at a stop light I had the right of way and was going below the speed limit. He darted right out in front of me hands off his steering wheel and I almost hit min because he ran the red light and I could not see him and if I had been looking the Other way I would of killed him because of the size of my truck. My question is Are not kids taught safety riding their bike's anymore? are they not taught pedestrian safety anymore in schools? or parents not teaching them? And this year alone we have had ten by-cyclist killed involved in car truck related crashes. If they don't obey the law in some cases it's almost impossible to avoid hitting someone on a bike. Last year three cyclist were killed as they were riding side by side in a group and all of them were killed running a red light and a semi truck hit them. Can anyone tell me what is happening to our young people don't they know a car at an average weight of 3500 pounds traveling at 35 MPH will kill them before they can stop? And it seems the more bicycle lanes they add the worse it gets. About an hour ago, my cat was quietly sitting in his bed but suddenly got up and began frantically running around the house and licking his chest and front paws. For about fifteen minutes he was wide eyed and had a fearful expression on his face, but I can't figure out why this happened because the house was quiet and there was nothing that was going on that might spook him. He has CRF and has been a bit lethargic, so I became concerned when he unexpectedly began darting across the room like he was trying to run out of something that was caught on him. He's fine now, but I can't figure out if what is going on is something to be worried about or if it wasn't anything serious.

My live in boyfriend of over two years decided a few months ago that he was going to start smoking weed regularly to try to help his anxiety. Does Image stabilization make a difference?

No I would not say the IS is needed for baseball games or really sports in general. To avoid camera shake you need to shoot at least 1/focal length of lens. So if you have a 300mm lens then you need to be shooting at 1/300 of sec or faster preferably 1/500 of second. Since sports games are very fast moving a lot of the time you want to be shooting at higher shutter speeds. 1/250 is a minimum to stop motion, but often times thats not even enough and you are better shooting at closer to 1/1000 to really be assured of sharp pictures. What I am trying to say is, is that at a sports game IS becomes useless because if you are indeed shooting at such a low shutter speed that you need to use IS you wont be using a fast enough shutter speed to stop motion anyways. There are exceptions however, say you are using your lens at 300mm and its dark out so you are pushing the limits and shooting at 1/250 of second to get the most out of the ambient light, in that case IS could be useful. However many sports shooters use monopods which can be fairly cheap. Personally I dont have IS on any of my lenses and dont really ever run into situations where I need it. But then my lenses are all in the f/2.8 to f/1.4 range so that helps a lot. I would personally also spend more money on a better lens without IS then get a cheaper lens with IS.

Hi, so I was really close friends with this guy for 2 years and when we moved to upper school we sort of drifted apart. no it does have image stabilization. But its a very fast lens (large aperture) so it does not need is. And yes, you can take shots at high speed at low light with the aperture wide open, but you will still have a lot of noise unless you hav a full frame sensor. But the lens really gives sharp images when stopped down to 2.8 its going to cheap wherever you buy it (its the cheapest lens by canon) but buy it first hand. The build quality is like a toy and a second hand will surely have defects.

How do we keep my 90 year old mom from being evicted?

My 90 year old mother lives in a senior complex. My pot smoking nephew (also indulges in other substances) visits his grandmother quite frequently. Management accused my nephews friend of spray painting the garbage room, she also said that my nephew and his friend were hanging out in the laundry room and she also said that when on the elevator with my nephew he smelled of marijuana. Apparently the mgr. confronted my mother about these things (I'm told that she was very rude) the manager claims my mother threatened her, my mother says that she didn't. So for the past few days ive seen my ex at school. When he walks past me, he looks down but out of the corner of his eyes he stares at me. Also when we were both in the library.
