Business Question about TARP and government saving businesses that are "too large to fail".?

While I hate big government and bailouts, it was the right thing to do. If anyone thinks that the recession was bad as it was/is, then they have ZERO idea what would have happened had these institutions failed. It would have made the Great Depression look like a speed bump.
